How do I properly care for my wool felt bag?

Take care of your bag properly and it will last a long time:

• DO NOT immerse in water.
• If your bag does become wet, use a towel and press surface to remove excess water. Let sit overnight and your bag will be dry by morning.
• Spot clean with mild soap and a damp sponge. Let air dry overnight.
• DO NOT put your bag in the dryer or near excess heat.
• Spraying with Scotch Guard® is ok for added protection. Felt only. Not on the leather!
• Remove animal fur or lint with a fabric brush
• Edges may pill slightly on initial use and may be removed with a fabric brush or pill remover like for sweaters.
• Store your wool felt bags the same way you store your wool sweaters and clothing.

 

How long does it take to get my order?

Made to Order bags take up to 4 weeks for me to make and ship to you.

Accessories and Home Décor take up to 2 weeks to make and ship unless I have them in stock and can ship sooner.

If you order a bag and accessories on the same order, your items will ship together when the bag is ready in order to save on shipping.

What is your return or exchange policy?

Most sales are final so please plan your purchase carefully and reach out if you have any questions before placing your order.

Some bag styles have hundreds of color combinations and some of these combinations are less popular than others which makes then more difficult to sell.

This is why I do not offer unconditional returns and I will need to pre-approve exchanges.

What are the color options you offer for felt and leather?

You will see for each bag design a palette of 10 felt colors and 6 leather colors you see on my website.

I use a thicker felt for Audrey Home which is 5mm thick. You will see some additional colors not available for bags.

For each product you will see the leather color options available. Please keep in mind that colors always vary slightly based on screen monitor settings when compared to real life.

 

What kind of felt do you use?

I work with 100% wool felt made from compressed sheep wool making it a biodegradable, and renewable material.

Wool felt is naturally water-resistant, strong yet lightweight, and holds its shape over time—making it ideal for everyday handbags.

Wool felt is also breathable and insulating—its natural density provides an excellent soft surface for all your items.

What type of leather do you use?

I work with Italian vegetable tanned leather. The thin straps for the Reiki Bags is made of Latigo leather. All leather eventually needs some care in order to keep it looking good. You can use any leather creme to keep the leather nourished.
